I am stepping away from my dental practice, and rowing down river. Having practiced for almost 40 years, it is time to face life’s next adventure. The plan is to pursue my dream of building guitars and spending more time in the beauty of Creede. I have enjoyed treating each and every one of you, as I have known four generations of some families. It is very hard to say goodbye. Thank you for the honor of providing care for you, all of these years!
To maintain the continuity of care for my friends and family, it was very important that I find someone to care for you that would be passionate and excited about the future with you. You and I are blessed to have Dr. Bob Johnson taking over for me. He is a caring, warm, and meticulous dentist. He is thorough, practical, and empathetic. His goal is to continue the quality of care you have known. You will like him!
Like me, Dr. Johnson is a graduate of University of Colorado School of Dentistry. After dental school, he applied for and was selected to complete an optional residency at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Denver, Colorado. This intensive specialty focused learning provided him with training in sedation dentistry, advanced root canals, full mouth rehabilitation, dental implant placements, and gum surgery.
Western Colorado natives, Dr. Johnson and his wife have always wanted to live their lives in Grand Junction. They both attended Colorado Mesa University and fell in love with all that the area and people have to offer. They have two young beautiful daughters in their growing family.
You will be happy to know Pat, Sara Jo, Mallory, and Emily are all staying. Everyone is looking forward to continuing as a team with their new leader. Dr. Johnson is also excited to be working with the same dental laboratories as I have. The nice restorations you have become accustomed to will always be the standard of care.
To ensure a smooth transition, I plan to maintain a presence at the office and help in any way I can for several months. I am confident you will be well cared for and pleased with Dr. Johnson. I am so appreciative of your trust and support, and eternally grateful for the many relationships I formed through the years with you, my wonderful patients.
Dr. Mike Martin
